Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the AJ West Palm Beach Concrete & Masonry website and any masonry or concrete work we do for you. By using this site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work through it.
When you sign a written estimate, proposal or contract with us for a specific job, that document governs the job. If it conflicts with these terms, the signed document wins.
The services we offer
AJ West Palm Beach Concrete & Masonry is a masonry contractor in West Palm Beach, FL. We do foundation, brick, block, stone, paver, chimney, fireplace and related concrete work for homes in West Palm Beach and the cities around it.
The service descriptions on our home page and service pages explain the kind of work we do in general terms. They aren't a promise that a particular method, material or result fits your property, because that depends on what we find on site. The work we'll actually do is what your written estimate or contract describes. You can read more about our crew on our About page.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, and there's no pressure to book. We give them after looking at the job in person, because the condition of your existing masonry, how easy it is to reach the work area and the materials you choose all change the price.
An estimate is based on what we can see at the time. Masonry often hides problems behind a wall, under a slab or below the ground, so if we uncover damage or conditions we couldn't reasonably have seen, we'll stop, show you and agree with you on any change in price or scope before we do the added work.
An estimate is good for the period it states. After that, material costs may have moved and we may need to update it. Any pricing information elsewhere on this site is general information, not an offer.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We set a start date with you once you accept an estimate. Dates can shift for rain, high wind, material deliveries, permit or inspection timing, or conditions we find once the job is open, and we'll tell you as soon as we know a date has to change.
Some jobs need a permit from the city or county. Your contract will say which permits apply and who is responsible for getting them. We also ask you to give us safe access to the work area and to tell us about any buried lines, sprinkler pipes or other hazards you know of before we dig.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call us at (561) 220-1584 as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered materials for your job or started work, you're responsible for the cost of those materials and the work already done, as your contract sets out.
Payment
Your estimate or contract sets out how much you'll pay, any deposit and when each payment is due. Payment is due on the schedule that document gives.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's paid. To the extent Florida law allows, you're responsible for reasonable costs we incur collecting an overdue balance, and we keep any rights the law gives contractors to secure payment for work they've done.
Workmanship and warranties
We stand behind our work and back it with our satisfaction guarantee. If you're not happy with our workmanship, tell us and we'll come back and look at it with you. Any written warranty for your job is in your contract, and it covers only what it says.
Outside that written warranty, and to the extent Florida law allows, our work and this website are provided without other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Brick, block, stone, pavers, mortar and other materials made by others carry their maker's warranty, not ours.
No warranty from us covers damage caused by soil settling or shifting beneath the work, tree roots, storms or flooding, vehicles heavier than the work was built to carry, or changes and repairs made by someone else.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and fully insured for the work we do. To the extent Florida law allows, AJ West Palm Beach Concrete & Masonry isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, such as lost use of your property, that come from this website or our work. Our total liability on any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
The information on this site is general and can change. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's complete or current, so please don't rely on it in place of an in-person look at your property. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that Florida law doesn't allow to be limited.
Settling a disagreement
If something goes wrong, call us first at (561) 220-1584, because most problems get settled by talking them through on site. If we can't settle it that way, we'll both try mediation in Palm Beach County before either of us goes to court, unless your contract sets a different process.
Which state's law applies
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any court case about them is to be brought in the state or federal courts that serve Palm Beach County, Florida.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page when you use the site or sign a contract is the one that applies, and later changes won't affect a contract you've already signed.
If you have a question about these terms, reach us through our Contact page.
